Who We Are And What We Do |
The VP Association is a group
composed of veterans and friends of the Naval Air Reserve
patrol squadrons that were based over the years at NAS
Squantum, MA; NAS South Weymouth, MA; and NAS Brunswick, ME. The group functions mainly as a mechanism to
help keep former members of these units in touch with each other and with what's going on
in the world of maritime patrol aviation.
Members of the VP Association meet informally for lunch at Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub at 94
Hartwell St. in Lexington, MA on the last Thursday of the month between 11 AM and 1 PM,
with scheduling adjustments made for holiday weeks. The group also holds an annual reunion
in the Boston area on a Saturday in the fall. A quarterly newsletter is published
every three months or so and distributed by mail or e-mail (e-mail is the preferred
distribution mechanism) to members of the group.
The VP Association also periodically produces articles of memorabilia such as specially embroidered caps, polo shirts, replica squadron patches, books, etc., as fund-raisers for its Administrative Fund, some of which can be seen and ordered on-line via our "Geedunk" page.
Membership information is provided on our "Membership" page.
